Mamie and Mike's Adventure Session | Wicklow, Ireland

This past October I had the pleasure of traveling to far away lands with some pretty spectacular people. Mamie and Mike and my husband and I spent the day in Wicklow Ireland. It was absolutely beautiful!

We headed out that morning and drove around Wicklow until we stumbled upon this park with beach access. So parked and wondered around. There were ruins and a picture perfect little beach and views for days! This is the kind of photography and traveling that I live for. Simple, unencumbered, unplanned and epic.

Afterwards we went into town where we grabbed a bite for lunch (1/2 pint of Guinness included). We ate in a pub that was right on an inlet from the the port near by. From our table we could see the water which made our lunch perfectly peaceful.

After our lunch we got back into the car and headed towards Glendalough, Ireland, just a 40 min drive from Wicklow. Glendalough is a nature reserve and retired monastery. There were a plethora of ruins and old cemeteries but what dew us the most was the lure of the lush Irish forest. We took a decent walk along winding paths through the reserve until the sun began to set. We made it back to our car just before dark and headed back to Dublin where we were staying. The simplicity and the beauty compounded with the stellar company that we kept that day easily made its one of the more memorable and favorite days of our trip.

Thanks to Mamie and Mike for always being up for and adventure with us!

Haylie
