Collaboration | Made by Kippen
As a type 9 and an INTJ on the Myers Briggs I rarely initiate conversation with strangers. Although sometimes, I break out of my comfort zone and initiate in meaningful connections. My relationship with Kippen of Made by Kippen stemmed from one of those brave moments that turned out to be so rewarding.
I met Kippen at a Small Business Saturday event in Charlotte. I loved her cement products and housewares. Walked into her booth was immediately inspired by her work. I bought a few candles and upon checkout, I told her that I was a product photographer and if she ever wanted to collaborate to reach out. Guys, I don’t even have business cards… that’s how infrequently I tell people that I am a photographer. Unless it isn’t obvious, networking is not my forte.
To my delight Kippen jumped at the opportunity. It has been a little over a year since our initial team up and we have built a wonderfully supportive relationship. Kippen is a photographer’s dream client. She has become a repeat client and always gives me creative freedom to play and create. Together we have created some beautiful image.

One bright, brisk day last November, I walked into a booth for some Christmas presents and walked out with a valuable on-going partnership and friend.
